The prized Monday and Wednesday Lotto ticket was sold at Meadow Mews News and Lotto at Kings Meadows.
The mystery winner held the ticket of one of the three division one winning entries.
The Lotto have no way of contacting the winner to break the news because the winning entry was unregistered.
Meadow Mews News and Lotto owner Jeff Dolbey said he was thrilled to have sold his first 26th division one winning entry in 24 years of operating.
"What fantastic news! We love being a part of winning moments and we have been doing so for more than two decades," he said.
"This division one winning entry marks the 26th win in 24 years which is absolutely amazing.
"There are one million reasons to be happy for this mystery winner and we can imagine the news would be particularly welcomed during these challenging times. Congratulations!"
The Lott spokesperson Anna Hobdell said she was eager to unit Tasmania's latest division one winner with their million dollar prize.
"It's likely our latest division one winner is going about their day as normal with no idea they've won a life-changing prize," she exclaimed.
"We're urging all players who purchased a Monday and Wednesday Lotto ticket from Meadow Mews News & Lotto to check their tickets today.
"If you discover you are holding the winning ticket, contact The Lott on 131 868 to begin the process of claiming your prize."
The winning numbers in Monday and Wednesday Lotto draw 4321 on Wednesday 13 September 2023 were 11, 36, 3, 20, 41 and 16, while the supplementary numbers were 23 and 7.
Across Australia, there were three division one winning entries in Monday and Wednesday Lotto draw 4321 - one each in Tasmania, South Australia and Western Australia.
