Abarth's next car will reportedly be a high-performance version of the Fiat 600e, the Italian brand's new small electric crossover.

Autocar reports the Abarth 600, due in 2025, will feature a similar treatment to Abarth's 500e hot hatch.
Details on Abarth's second electric performance car are few and far between. Abarth and Fiat CEO Olivier François hasn't revealed any details on the vehicle but when asked about the possibility of an Abarth 600, he said "It's logical."
Mirroring the power increase given to the Abarth 500e, the 600 will reportedly gain around 26kW of power and 15Nm of torque, which would put total outputs at 141kW and 271Nm.
This will reportedly result in a 0-100km/h sprint time of around 7 seconds, a similar time to the smaller 500e.
The battery size will reportedly remain unchanged from the Fiat version.
The Fiat 600 uses a 54kWh nickel manganese cobalt lithium-ion battery. As this battery provides power to more potent electric motors, range will reportedly drop from about 400km to around 320km on the WLTP cycle.
In contrast, the Abarth 500e boasts 114kW of power and 235Nm of torque, up from 87kW and 220Nm in the regular 500e, and the hot hatch offers 252km of range on the WLTP cycle. It uses the same 42kWh battery as the Fiat 500e.
The Abarth 600 will reportedly follow the 500e's formula of remaining front-wheel drive with an uprated electric motor. However, a more powerful dual-motor drivetrain is a possibility.
Jeep, another brand under the Stellantis umbrella, has previously shown off a dual-motor concept of its Avenger electric SUV.
The Avenger is based on the same e-CMP platform of the Fiat 600, suggesting a more potent dual-motor set up is plausible for the Abarth.
The Abarth 600 could mirror some of the other changes given to the Fiat 500e in its transition to being an Abarth.
Over the regular 500e, the Abarth 500e has received numerous modifications including a one-pedal driving feature, an optional 'sound generator' to mimic an exhaust note, a unique exterior body kit and sporty wheels as well as sporty seats and interior trim.
The Abarth 500e is due here in late 2023.
