An Oz Lotto ticket holder became $30 million richer on Tuesday night, but the winner has not yet come forward to claim their prize.
Officials have revealed the winning ticket was bought at Upper Burnie Newsagency & Post Office, meaning a North-West resident could be the lucky winner.
Post Office manager Jeremy Turner said he was thrilled to have sold Tasmania's equal-biggest lotto ticket, matching the $30 million won by an Apple Islander playing Powerball in 2018.
"How good is that," Mr Turner said.
"Thirty million dollars is a pretty big prize.
"We last sold a division one winning entry about two years ago - it was a $2 million prize in TattsLotto.
"When they buy a ticket, everyone always asks for a winning ticket and now some lucky person out there has it. We hope our winner checks their ticket soon."
The Lott spokesman Matt Hart said the elusive winner had 12 months to directly claim their prize.
"After this time, there is a process to claim the prize directly from Tasmania Treasury and Finance," he said.
"Of course, we'd much prefer to see the $30 million prize in this Tasmanian winner's bank account as soon as possible, which is why we're urging everyone to check their Oz Lotto tickets today.
"We can't wait for them to discover this winning news."
The winning numbers in Oz Lotto draw 1539 on Tuesday, August 15 were 23, 6, 27, 41, 8, 24 and 47. The supplementary numbers were 4, 13 and 28.
