Taylor will soon be appearing on US network ABC's reboot of the Charlie's Angels franchise.
According to the press release, Taylor plays Abby, "a Park Avenue princess who became a world-class thief".
The reboot also stars Minka Kelly (of Friday Night Lights fame) and Annie Ilonzeh (who has so far only had smaller roles in TV shows such as Entourage and General Hospital).
Drew Barrymore - who starred in the film adaptations of the franchise - is executive producer of the TV series while the scripts have been penned by Smallville creators Alfred Gough and Miles Millar.
Taylor was in the news late last year when she went through a volatile break up with fellow actor Matthew Newton. He pleaded guilty to one charge of common assault against her and was later charged by NSW Police for breaking the Apprehended Violence Order imposed on him.
Taylor is now linked to fellow actor Josh Lawson. The pair recently holidayed in Bali, with Lawson tweeting photos of the trip.
ABC's Charlie's Angels is due to premiere in US later this year.
