Openers Stephanie Carr and Emma Manix-Geeves put on a 150-run opening partnership to have Riverside 1-157 off their 20 overs.
Carr amassed her fourth half-century from five innings, finishing on 76 not out off 63 deliveries while Manix-Geeves fell for 47.
Ellie Mathews was the only wicket taker for South Launceston after dismissing Manix-Geeves courtesy of a brilliant running catch by Naomie O'Loughlin behind the stumps.
South Launceston batters Belinda Wegman (77 of 55 balls) and Caitlyn Webster (61) put on a 122-run partnership before Webster fell to a brilliant caught and bowled from Maddison Hill.
Courtney Webb, who returned to club cricket after a brilliant performance in the state under-15 championship, led South to victory by smashing 14 off eight balls.
Launceston batted first against Mowbray, galloping to 15 off two overs before rain settled in and the match was abandoned.
This weekend Riverside take on Mowbray at Riverside, and Launceston take on South on NTCA 1 from 4:30pm on Sunday.
