Young Matildas beat Myanmar

Australia's Young Matildas concluded their AFC under-19 women's championship campaign with a 2-1 win against Myanmar yesterday. But Australia's hopes of qualification for the 2008 FIFA U-20 World Cup had already been ended on Tuesday with a controversial 2-1 loss to reigning world champion Korea.
The Young Matildas were made to work hard against Myanmar, which took the lead against the run of play through a goal after 32 minutes from Mu Lwin Mu. Australia equalised just a minute later through Ashleigh Connor, and scored the winner soon after half-time with a goal from Kyah Simon.
