Hobart Speedway is set for a massive meet this Saturday with a thunder and lightning sprintcar state title and three speedway kart classes competing for their own titles.

The karting titles feature three rounds of heats, drawing several nominations from mainland competitors with Blaxx Clayton, Brayden Orr and Jett Hart entering the junior kart title and Andrew Cook the senior title.
The 125s will be an all-Tasmanian event with fierce competition expected.
The sprintcar title will be as wide open as the throttles on these exciting ground-pounding machines as teams prepare for yet another battle.
Five previous state title winners have entered.
Kurt Luttrell won his title back in 2011 and is good form after winning last weekend, while multiple winners Jamie Bricknell has new machinery and Jason Redpath and his brother Adrian Redpath have a habit of being in contention for the big meetings.
Another former winner Jason Dawkins was lacking car speed last weekend, however the experienced Dawkins will quickly rectify that.
Others yet to win this event who are likely contenders include young chargers Nick Penno, Chris Johns and Adam Alexander.
Street stocks have 30 nominations and once again will feature wheel-to-wheel action throughout their races.
Some of the newer names to the front of the field include Brock Inches, Nigel Apted, Brad Currant and David O'Rourke and all are capable of taking out the win.
Late models also have a solid entry list with Ash Cleary, Tim Pike, Jason Cox and Josh Beaumont front-runners.

Kurt Millwood has just returned from the NSW title where he spent time learning more about car set-up with his team and should put this to good use.
Formula 500s will see close racing between Ricki Hall, Taylor Johnson and Kristian Kelly.
Adam Garwood and Adam Burr have both returned from the Australian title and will no doubt utilise the experience gained to challenge for victory.
Thirteen Tassie sixes have nominated, and the usual suspects will be at the front end of the field.
Dwaine Sonners returns from racing his super sedan and is always fast in the six, as is Peter Johnston, Mark Bryant, Paul Howard and Claire Johnston.
Newcomer Gemma Smith will drive the Bradley Cowen Tassie six and will relish the baptism of fire.
The hard-hitting bombers never fail to excite, and will keep the crowd enthralled with their close contact style of racing
The speedway karts commence at 3pm with main track action from 6pm.
